The Eachine VR D2 Pro is an excellent value in box style headsets. The VR D2 Pro's relatively small form factor allows for a light and comfortable to wear goggle. The VR is packed with features usually only seen in goggles at higher price points.
Take diversity for instance, two receivers are definitely better than one; or conversely you can improve battery run time by turning off one receiver.
One touch auto search. Press the search button and the goggles will lock on to your aircraft, or you can scan all the whole frequency band and choose the cleanest channel available to you.
DVR is our next favorite feature. Being able to replay the last seconds of a flight just before a crash, is a very helpful tool for recovering lost models.
Last but not least is the adjustable focus fresnel lens. This accommodating feature can make a difference for some folks who wear reading glasses; It wont be a help to everyone though.
The VR D2 Pro is smaller and lighter than many box goggles, making them ideal for young people or as a backup google that can be also used for "taking people for rides".
The 5" screen has a resolution of 800 x 480 and is focused adjustable fresnel lens. The built in OSD displays the current video band, channel, remaining battery capacity and a bar graph that display the receiver strength. The displayed information is not distracting as it is small and located in the corner of the screen.
The VR D2 Pro has many more menu functions than would be efficient to list here. Fortunately Eachine has provided a thorough instruction manual to help in the understanding and use of the many functions designed into these goggles.
