Are you all getting used to innovative new products from FrSky? Here is a first, a single 2.4GHz receiver that will work with 3 different brands of radios! Not only is it the first Futaba FHSS compatible, but it is also the first time anyone has a single receiver that supports 3 different protocols! Binding is simple, and the receiver automatically locks into the correct protocol. As an option, you can use jumpers to lock it into your protocol.
Compatible with transmitters that use the following protocols:
If that was not enough, this receiver also features CPPM and RSSI output options. CPPM allows you to feed all 8 channels through a single servo connector and is great for Flybarless helicopters and other flight controllers (such as Quads). RSSI output is great for sending your signal strength indicator to an onboard video systems. These are advanced features you typically have to pay a premium for elsewhere.
Operating Voltage Range: 3.0V-16V (HV Version)
Operating Current: 30mA
Specified Range: 1.5km-2.5km
Number of Channels: 8CH
Dimensions: 49mm×24.5mm×15 mm
*Note: This unit is not designed, manufactured or supported by Hitec or Futaba, nor is it a copy of a Hitec or Futaba receiver.
We have had some issues reported that these units can be tricky to bind to Futaba systems. Some report issues, others report no issues. We thought you should know before buying.
Works excellent with my Futaba 10J. Just placed my second order. Use in quads and helis. Remember to Select "S-FHSS" when binding - default is "T-FHSS". Be patient binding the receiver and releasing the bind button. Takes a bit - wait for the flashing red and green lights. Only for my "nice rig" do I need/want a Futaba telemetry receiver @ $70!. This $23 with great service and quick and cheap shipping from Aloft!!
I have several of the minima and several Delta 8 receivers and two more Delta 8 on their way. I am using them with my Hitec Eclipse 7 and Hitec Aurora 9. They bind well as long as you follow procedure. I find them to be a good value and very reliable over the past year with no problems so far. Several are in larger Gassers and seem to withstand those stresses.
Our younger modelists were paying a lot for Futaba receivers for their entry level Radio.
Thank you for them for making these Rx affordable. And for the business model of this innovation.
Thanks to Simon and Wayne from France and French Switzerland!
