Hint: If not disabling failsafe on the transmitter side, TFR6 will use native failsafe position preset on the transmitter side.
I was a sceptic a first, only putting this thing in my "throw away" plane, but have since been sold on it. Stellar quality at a reasonable price point compared to the stock Futaba gear. I have NO hesitation putting this receiver in ANY of my planes. I now have 4 of these units, couple the value of the receiver with the fantastic service from Aloft, and you really have something!
My Futaba 6EX holds 10 models and with 1 receiver it was a real pain moving the receiver from plane to plane. When found Aloft Hobbies
to have the TFR6 compatible receivers for I/3 the price of Futaba's.....COOL...now I can afford to have a receiver for each aircraft in my
hangar. They perform flawlessly! I am going to purchase 2 more. Shipping was fast! Thank you Aloft!!
I have 5 of these receivers in various aircraft, all purchased from Aloft. Very easy to bind and completely reliable regardless of range. The best value/cost ratio out there. Highly recommend them. And as an added benefit, the customer service is second to none and shipping is reasonable as well as fast.
i have at least 5 of these rxs and all i can say is WOW , bind in a New York Second , full range and no qliching issues.
Hello guys. This is a full range receiver. I had it on couple planes and even a fast jet. Very good size and it's full range. I fly'em with helicopter also.
Had many problems with my JR Radio Spectrum Native...
I decided to switch to Futaba Transmitter 10GA BTW very nice Transmitter!
Anytime you switch Transmitter is a big expense because you also have to buy Manufacturer s’ Receivers. This is not the case anymore; we have this company that is able to make compatible receivers which work just great.
My TEST of this product:
I did a range from the basement and walkout to the streets and my wife was on the cell phone to let me know if the Elevator moved. My final distance was about 150 feet and the receiver in the basement. I think is excellent due to the fact that we are very crowed here in NYC queens. On Sunday the 10/8/12, I flew with this Receiver and went Up very HIGH to the Clouds : ) no need to say more I'm very happy. I was able to do my 3D with my Extreme Flight Edge 540 EXP and I was in control all the time. And for some reason, I felt that the Transmitter was in sync with the receiver all the time because the Plane responded to any stick inputs.
All in all I’m very happy and if you are reading this review you can reach me at RC Groups.
I tested this receiver today and WOW, it's small, light and works perfectly with my 8FG. I have range of over 60 paces in power down mode. Standard shipping was quick (3 days) and cheap. I'm very pleased with my products and service from Aloft Hobbies.
Bought eight of these to try, binding is fast and so is setting up failsafe on the receiver. (a push of a button literally). I put the tfr6 in an easy glider and told the tow pilot (Butch) to take it as high as he could. He is use to towing 3-6 meter gliders, so we put my eyes and frsky to the test. Worked great with my antennas both still inside the fuse. I am very happy! As soon as the tfr6 is back in stock I will get some more. Trust me you will love it!

For the price, I ordered 2. I put one in my old trainer for testing. Binding was instant. I already did a range check on it. I drove to McDs with my 7C(almost a mile away)and my rc friend sat in the living room, both on the cell. I was inputting stick movement and he was telling what was moving. I have to say that I am very impressed with the signal range, being that I didn't lose my signal at all driving through town. I thought for sure I would get a glitch or failsafe would take over, but it didn't.
