The Boeing PT-17 Stearman was widely used during WW2 as a primary trainer for both the US Air Force and Navy. After the war, it became very popular with civilians for crop dusting, sport flying, and air shows. Today you can have your very own.
The GWS PT-17 kit comes with all the parts you need to build the airframe, it comes pre-painted, you just apply the finishing decals. There's a brushed geared motor and prop in the kit (10X6) which will fly the airplane but won't put out much power, thus we've included a brushless motor mount in the kit. You'll need the usual electronics, motor, servos, an esc, and receiver of your choice as well as building supplies such as glue. At the bottom of this page, we've selected some electronics that we think would be appropriate for this aircraft.
