went with this version....X20
'been a Futaba guy since 1991....but they're not really keeping up with long range or tiny receivers. A couple guys in my club bought the 20S, but the benefit of metal gimbals didn't matter to me. I mean all my transmitters have had plastic gimbals, so I used the money saved to buy 3 receivers...Tandem 10s, Archer R8 and the little tiny SBUS one. Half of my receivers for my 14SG are FrSky and I absolutely love them...so...why not try their new trans? I like the weight of it and how it hangs on the strap. Sticks are smooth and in a really good spot...(I pinch)... and the display is really nice. This is a whole new language to me, but I'm beginning to understand after 2 days of playing around with it. I had a really hard time connecting the trans to my laptop, at first....couldn't find ANY info on the problem and was about to call when I decided to try another C cord....that's right....the SUPPLIED C CORD WAS BAD!! Other than that, I'm really glad I bought this transmitter. Really easy to update both trans and receivers...pretty slick, actually. I've watched tutorial vids to learn how to use and set it up...Really looking forward to using the R9 receivers for my FPV planes and quads. Thanks, Aloft Hobbies
Have only set it up on the ground, but nice feel and LOADS of features, especially for the price.
Frsky Tandem X20
This is my second X20 and feeling enjoy using it. My first was a blue should have bought the black from the beginning. Been using Frsky radio for years. And buying from Aloft was a breeze.
I have used Futaba radios for 42 years. I still have one that I am using. About 8 years ago I purchased a Spektrum radio because they offered more features for the price. I have purchased a FrSky X20 not only because of the features for the price but also because of the reputation of a quality product. I am loving the capabilities it offers. The service of Aloft Hobbies also has been speedy and great.
THE 20X IS MY FAVORITE , REALLY NICE . I HAVE THE 9X ,10X AND NOW THE 20X . HOOKED ON FRSKY JOHN
