Mega 16/25/2 with Planetary Gearbox

1000 watts in the nose of your favorite glider!

Take a Mega 16/25/2 and bolt a 4.33: 1 planetary gear reduction on it, and you'll be able to push 1000 watts through a 18 inch propeller. 

The Mega 16/25/2 is a 3 Phase, 6 pole, permanent magnet inrunner, with a hardened steel, shaft riding on high quality ball bearings. The lightweight rotor is loaded with neodymium magnets and wrapped in kevlar and then dynamically balanced. The kevlar hold the magnets in place, withstanding RPMs in excess of 55,000. The hand wound stators and tight tolerances of the rotor / stator all contribute to its 86% efficiency rating.
