Balsa Bullet

Are you looking for a fast and fun sport model that can do some cool Delta tricks? The Balsa Bullet is the plane for you! she will turn heads at your field!

The range of performance on this little model is wide reaching. It can be a very docile park flyer (AUW about 200 grams), it can be a fun speed freak and it can do those cool delta tricks like high speed Cobra stalls and an absolutely insane roll rate if you like. Or do them all in a single flight. And very easy to land. 

Unlike most pusher aircraft you will find that the Balsa Bullet is very quiet. We like to think of this as airfield friendly. Being quiet is great as we are not upsetting the neighbors, but did you know your plane will be faster and more efficient when it is quiet? 

Pictured is prototype #3, nearly the same as the production model. You can see the basswood spars in the wing and vertical, the leading edge of the wing is also basswood for durability. 

Following a long development period we have refined this wooden kit to be very easy to build and resilient. A rubbery nose is included should you have a less than ideal landing. As a bonus no tricky sanding on the nose area! Running a 3 blade prop (3x3) would usually result in a bunch of busted props on landing, but we extended the vertical stabilizer down below the fuselage to protect the prop and give critical stability when flying in high alpha attitudes. 

Clocking in around 90 mph on a small 4S lipo setup we enjoyed nice long 12 minute flights! We will be testing 6S soon, that should push the Bullet to about 120mph. We call it the bullet for a reason.
