The craftsmanship of this kit is very good. The wing sections are constructed from quality balsa; accurately assembled and sanded to the point of being ready to cover. The same is true for the rudder and elevator assemblies. All in all, we are impressed with the quality of this kit.

The fuselage is constructed of balsa and light ply; resulting in a voluminous, sturdy fuselage, which allows the installation of a range of motors and allows the battery to be changed quickly through the uniquely removable canopy.

Most of the kit is pre-built.  The wing is delivered in 4 parts, and the the elevator and rudder are also pre-built. And of course the fuse is pre-built too. The effort needed for construction has therefore been significantly reduced.

The Assembly Instructions; are in German... The free app, Google translate works reasonably well for translating. If you have previous model building skills the Maxx should be a breeze to build. An ambitious beginner could build it. Construction difficulty level is 2 out of 5.

In terms of flying, the Aero-Maxx is a treat. It can float on the weakest of thermals. The Maxx picks up speed quickly but without a noticeable increase in sink rate.

Here is a very old video, shot with a potato, that demonstrates the flying characteristics of the Aero-Maxx.

The model is controlled via rudder and elevator, while the motor is controlled via a small ESC with BEC (2A minimum). The two-part wing is joined with  2 steel pins, 4 mm diameter, the assembly onto the fuselage is done with two dowels and rubber bands. The canopy, which can be removed quickly, ensures free access to the motor, controller and battery replacement.
