Aluminum glue in threaded couplers with M2.5 threads are designed to be glued inside a carbon tube, sized 5mm outer diameter and 3mm inner diameter.
The max outer diameter of the coupler corresponds with the outer diameter of the tube, which makes for a neat looking coupler.
