Quido is a kit of a small electric flight model that fits in every trunk. The individual parts are largely prefabricated from balsa and must be assembled using the enclosed assembly instructions.
The Illustrated assembly instructions are excellent but; written in German. Fortunately there are instructions written in English which can be downloaded here.
The rear fuselage consists of a single carbon fiber tube, which ensures a lightweight construction of the entire model. The empennage is firmly glued to the fuselage and cannot be removed, which is not necessary given the compact size.
The wing is built in one piece and attached to the fuselage with rubber bands. This ensures quick and easy assembly during flight preparation, and the surfaces on the fuselage are shifted in the event of a rough landing or detach from the fuselage without damage. The wings and tail units are covered with iron-on covering, which the model builder applies at his own discretion and taste.
The Quido is suitable for model builders who have already had initial experience with a wooden kit of our free flight models (e.g. Lilienthal 31 / 32) and is an ideal introduction to RC model flying. The model kit contains all the wooden parts needed to build the fuselage and wings, a carbon fiber tube for the rear fuselage section, linkages and small parts, as well as detailed assembly instructions.
Outrunner motors with a rear mount and an output of 100-150 watts with a 2s Lipo make for a suitable drive.
