We are pleased to offer the VP Models as they are true masters of the XPS bagged wing construction methods. The results of this method are very competitive models with a very attractive price point. With a focus on the competition pilot but priced in a range where non-professionals can enjoy them too!
Based from the original Django from VP Models, this new Django has developed over many years and with the help of competitive pilots feedback. The newest Django is a great performer, and all around fun plane. Available in D-box and Full Carbon versions. Full Carbon is best for completive use, while the D-box makes for a more colorful plane that still performs great.
The planform of the wing is also new, deep flaps and ailerons provide new possibilities especially for competition pilots. The combination of S4083 and AG airfoils gives the model absolutely perfect flight characteristics in calm thermal conditions, penetration against the wind and controllability. Full camber control of the wing in the hands of an experienced pilot can ensure a wide range of settings for different climatic conditions.
The D-Box version:
The wing and tail surfaces are vacuum laminated to an XPS core. In a color variant on a pre-dyed XPS core, this way the color is under the laminate surface and looks great. Longitudinal rigidity is ensured by a carbon D-box with a web. Torsional stability is ensured by high-quality glass fabric laid at an angle of 45°.
The Full Carbon version:
The wing and tail surfaces are vacuum laminated to an XPS core. The surface consists of a light carbon biaxial fabric, which gives the model excellent torsional rigidity and significantly higher surface resistance compared to models with glass fabric. Longitudinal stability is ensured by a carbon flange with a web under the biaxial surface.
Fuselage:
The wing is attached to the fuselage from the side via a carbon joiner, no screws. The nacelle is made of carbon fabric with reinforcement in exposed areas. A hand-wound carbon tube connects to the tail. The longer nose of the fuselage allows mounting of new small and light motors without balance problems, for example the XM2225EG. For fans of slope flying, there is also a pure glider version of the fuselage.
