Reliability and high performance are the name of the game for the Gecko Series of speed controllers. Thanks to ZTW's "Sync Rectifier Drive" these ESC's deliver a quick but very linear throttle response.
Manufactured using quality components and encased in a generously sized rectangular heat sink, the Geckos are designed and built with the serious modeler in mind. For instance, having an 8 amp SBEC that has a programable output voltage between 5 and 8.4 volts allows the constructor / pilot to tailor the control system voltage to match the requirements of their servos.
The ESC has a thermal protection system that lowers power output if the ESC temperature should exceed 110°C Once the ESC temperature returns to 100°C or below, full power is once again resumed. This alerts the pilot that there is a problem and to land. The Gecko also has a built in memory that records Highest Temperature and Highest RPM of the flight. This information can viewed using ZTW's LCD Programmer or wifi module.
Gecko ESC's are fully programmable using the LCD Programmer. The firmware is upgradable using the LCD Programmer's USB connection and ZTW's Firmware / Programming App downloaded from ZTW's website. See the tables below for more information on programming parameters.
