Aluminum glue in threaded couplers with M2 threads are designed to be glued inside a carbon tube, sized 4mm outer diameter and 2.5mm inner diameter.

The max outer diameter of the coupler corresponds with the outer diameter of the tube, which makes for a neat looking coupler.
