Royal models' ASW-28-18 is a fully molded 1/4.4 scale glider that is sure to impress with great all rounder performance. The large 4 meter wing and great looks are backed up by great flight performance.
We have asked Royal to make a few tweaks for our customers. Wings are now available with a Carbon D-box layup, or a full carbon layup. The full carbon adds some weight and is probably best for slope pilots. The full carbon also features bottom hinged flaps for those tighter landing areas. No flaps on the d-box to be more scale. We also have a some carbon/kevlar added to the fuselages of both versions.
The Royal Models are quality kits built by our friends in the Czech Republic. We really like the price for performance ratio of these models. You get a lot for your money. You do a little more work than some other brands, but you also pay a lot less. But no fears, the performance is all there!
The HQ 3/12 airfoil has smooth and forgiving flight characteristics. It responds well to thermal, yet the low camber allows high energy retention on the slope. Great for aero towing, winching or slope. This is an excellent 'all rounder'.
It features an all molded airframe including the hollow molded rudder, winglets and horizontal stab. The clear canopy tops it off and shows your interior and pilot figure.
This model is for advanced modelers. Much of the hard work is done for you. You will be installing your radio gear, installing the rudder bulkhead and rudder, etc. Model does not include a retract, but one can be added. See photos for some build out examples.
Pre installed spoilers help with the landings. You'll also get a good selection of hardware to complete the airframe such as clevises, pushrods, control horns, pull pull rudder cable and canopy frame and latch. Instruction booklet and graphics included.
